The chicks arrived and several were dead! But they will be replaced for free and the rest are doing real good. There is no school today, find out there was a late start but after I already took Sara in for swing practice. Then later it got cancelled due to icy roads. Temps. have been cold and these next few days are to be bad, wind, ice freezing rain.

Some snow on the ground now and it was quiet slushy yesterday. Also bits of ice kept falling off the trees and it sounded like someone kept going around the house and knocking on it all over.

Have a bunch of girl scout cookies in the garage too, many extras and a couple of girls still need to pick theirs up. My last year to do scouts maybe, I am hoping to keep Sara in it the next 3 to help with college resume's.

Ice away

Well going to try again at keeping a blog. At least write in it once a week. Anywho this week was wacky! 50 degrees tues. & wed. and then below freezing temps thur. & fri with snow and ice, I hate them both.
One of the show calves was sick at the beginning of the week, the vet came out and got him feeling better. Had a duck and goose hatch too. More chicks are to arrive in the mail Monday and hopefuly the order does not get cancelled like last week.
We have 8 show calves now to learn to walk on their haulters, its going to be tough since they are already 900 to 1000 lbs.
Joe had a couple of friends spend the night and were up late, go figure on that :) (there goese the snow plow) Chuck and I went out to eat last night and took the boys to the wellnes ctr. and they played basketball for a few hours while we were out.
